Film & Photography Specialist at Harlem Children’s Zone (2022-2025)
Harlem is a place filled with rich culture, diversity, and creativity, but it's also a place where many young people face obstacles and barriers to success. As a child growing up in Harlem, I was fortunate to have mentors and role models who believed in me and encouraged me to pursue my passions. Through my work as a Film & Photography instructor at Harlem Children's Zone, I had the chance to pay that support forward. Teaching film and photography at Harlem Children's Zone to grades K-8 has been an incredibly fulfilling experience. I've had the privilege of guiding my students through the intricacies of visual storytelling, helping them to harness the power of imagery to convey their thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
